i3's CSS is a unique solution implementing a Windows based configuration for automation of the terminals. The main tasks of the system are:
  • Receive products from sources via pipeline
  • Store products in a tank farm
  • Load products to distribution carriers such as tank-trucks. The process includes control of loading bay equipment such as flow meters, loading arms with volumetric calculations and safety interlocks
  • Sealing of trucks
  • Security, Access control to the tank truck loading area Management & reporting
  • Management & Reporting

    • Truck Data Management (TDM) performs the following functions:
      • Order entry/ registration
      • Indent processing
      • Commercial verification
      • Scheduling of tank trucks
      • Product Allocation
      • Stock Inventory
      • Generation of various transaction documents and reports for trucks

    • Truck Data Management (TDM) performs the following functions:
      • Receive pre-load data from TDM and send post load data to TDM
      • Real time / history data exchange
      • Truck loading sequence
      • Bay Allocation
      • Preparation and Issuance of Filling Advise Note (FAN)
      • Auto Pump Sequencing
      • Interface with Tank Farm Management and plant control subsystem and plant control sub system for integrated Terminal Automation System
      • Truck arrival and checking
System Responsibility

The primary responsibility of TAS is to ensure that the product loading at the terminal facilities take place in a secure, orderly, timely and well-documented manner. The TAS performs the following functions:
  • Terminal entry and exit validation for tank truck loading
  • Control loading at the loading bay/points, using Flow Control Units, Card Readers
  • Record and store truck loading information
  • Log events and generate alarms
  • Provide terminal operator access to the system
  • Provide multiple levels of security for access to TAS
  • Poll the Tank Farm Management system
