i3's CSS is a unique solution implementing a Windows based configuration for automation of the terminals. The main tasks of the system are:
- Receive products from sources via pipeline
- Store products in a tank farm
- Load products to distribution carriers such as tank-trucks. The process includes control of loading bay equipment such as flow meters, loading arms with volumetric calculations and safety interlocks
- Sealing of trucks
- Security, Access control to the tank truck loading area Management & reporting

- Truck Data Management (TDM) performs the following functions:
- Order entry/ registration
- Indent processing
- Commercial verification
- Scheduling of tank trucks
- Product Allocation
- Stock Inventory
- Generation of various transaction documents and reports for trucks
- Truck Data Management (TDM) performs the following functions:
- Receive pre-load data from TDM and send post load data to TDM
- Real time / history data exchange
- Truck loading sequence
- Bay Allocation
- Preparation and Issuance of Filling Advise Note (FAN)
- Auto Pump Sequencing
- Interface with Tank Farm Management and plant control subsystem and plant control sub system for integrated Terminal Automation System
- Truck arrival and checking
System Responsibility
The primary responsibility of TAS is to ensure that the product loading at the terminal facilities take place in a secure, orderly, timely and well-documented manner. The TAS performs the following functions:
- Terminal entry and exit validation for tank truck loading
- Control loading at the loading bay/points, using Flow Control Units, Card Readers
- Record and store truck loading information
- Log events and generate alarms
- Provide terminal operator access to the system
- Provide multiple levels of security for access to TAS
- Poll the Tank Farm Management system
